Its main function is to connect or disconnect circuits during normal operation and quickly cut off current in case of faults (such as short circuits, overloads), thereby controlling power flow and protecting equipment like lines and transformers. Core Working Principle
The core of an outdoor circuit breaker is the arc-extinguishing and insulation system, which achieves arc extinguishment and circuit isolation through specific media (such as SF₆ gas, vacuum, oil, etc.):
